Special Letter to the Church March 23, 2020

A Special Letter to the Church:

Hello Church,
Interesting times we are living in.  Hope everyone is safe and free from panic.  It is during these times that we are able to shine and be a positive influence on the world.  So, let your light shine during this darkness and be the beacon of hope and calmness people need from those of us whose hope comes from God.

Church Suspended for March 22

Concerning Central Christian Church and COVID-19, the coronavirus.  This virus has affected lives around the world and has caused many concerns to arise.

All church activities are suspended through Sunday, March 22.

There will be a short homily, and Lenten examen time on Facebook Live at 11:00 am.

Please call and check on each other and especially those that are home bound to see if there are needs such as groceries, medicine or other things that could be delivered to their homes when they should not or cannot get out.

During these times, it is important to stay informed, practice caution and wisdom, and limit your socialization until the medical profession can get a handle on this virus.  And do not panic!

Big virtual hugs!

CoronaVirus Statement

Concerning Central Christian Church and COVID-19, the coronavirus.  This virus has affected lives around the world and has caused many concerns to arise.  I would like to address how this news will affect our congregation.

  1. The church is not currently closing. We will continue to have services for Dan’s Ordination on Saturday at 2:00 pm and on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 11:00.
  2. There will be precautions taken on the way we take communion to assure germs cannot be spread. Please be sensitive to those who do not feel comfortable shaking hands or hugging at these events.
  3. We will suspend taking communion to our shut-ins and homebound until this virus is under control.
  4. We will have our cleaning crew disinfect thoroughly before Saturday’s Ordination and Sunday’s worship.
  5. We will make available, as much as possible, an abundance of hand sanitizer and Kleenex.
  6. If you are being cautious about socialization and do not feel comfortable about attending worship, both Dan’s ordination and the 11:00 Worship Service will be on FaceBook Live.
  7. During these times, it is important to stay informed, practice caution and wisdom, and limit your socialization until the medical profession can get a handle on this virus.
  8. Now is the time to take courage and not panic. Live in the knowledge that no matter what takes place, God will continue to be with us; God’s strength and God’s grace will see us through.Be patient and wise and if you need anything, many of us will be eager to help.
  9. Joshua 1:9

Peace,
Danny
