Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you who helped make my maternity leave possible. Thank you for all your leadership, and dancing, and reading, and singing, and egg filling, and feasting, and praying with all of our children. It is really good to be back in the midst of our church family and our great group of children.
Robert and I had to agree that this year's holy week and Easter had to be one of the most meaningful that we have had in many years.
Part of that, for me, was the time spent in prayer and meditation. I didn't realize how much I needed to hear the words, "You are loved. You are a child of God." We get caught up in thinking of ourselves as parents, or teachers, or Christians, or working class, or whatever label you hear the most, that we forget the most important thing, we are...God's.
So continue allowing yourself to be silent so that you can hear God saying to you, "You are loved. You are my child."
