Now that the Pumpkin Patch is almost bare, it is time to gear up for our annual “Turkey Dinner.” This is an event that many in our community look forward to. Good food and fellowship. For us it is a fundraiser and a way to connect with our friends and our church family. This year the actual event will be Thursday,
November 21, but there are several weeks of preparation and that takes a lot of help from this congregation. Along with the dinner, we have a bake sale, silent auction, and vendors on that day. Proceeds from this project are split among our two woman’s and our men’s group and are used to benefit our church and others. (For example: lawn mowers, new kitchen appliances, various in-house ministries, projects outside CCC, camp scholarships, and much more.)
The Silent Auction is something anyone can contribute to, no matter what your schedule may be. Kathy Porter is the contact person if you have any questions.
(817-999-0459) We will need goodies for the Bake Sale. (Cakes, Pies, Sweet Breads, Cookies, Jellies and Jams, Candy, Pickles, Bread, etc.) You may contact Rubette Fowler if you need more information on the bake sale (817-307-2435).
Bonnie Decker is in charge of our Vendors. If you have a product(s) and would like to participate as a vendor, and have any questions you can contact her at (817-713-6289).
Tickets are $13.00. Kathy Porter will have them for sale beginning Sunday, November 3rd in Cuppett Hall during coffee fellowship, and they will be available in the church office during regular hours. Any questions you might have about this special event, please call Pam Walker, (817-312-8185). I will be posting a schedule for preparations if you are interested in being a part of this labor of love. Looking forward to serving with you.
